Damn fine finish, great win. Didn't think we'd win a shootout near the 90s, but I'll take it... team showed more scoring ability than I thought we had. Monster half for EJ, Washington and Walker. Huge plays by Jallow too. Fun win to watch!

Nice halftime adjustments to shut down Cormac Ryan in the second half. Also ran some good offense where they forced a series of switches until they got a smaller guy guarding somebody that could overpower him inside.

Meechie is a long and athletic guard who really gets after it on defense. We need that right now. If he can learn quick and adjust, I really do think he has a role this season.
Would not have expected us to win such a shoot out, was thinking we'd have to lean more on defense. Turns out that we continue to be a team that is easy to get hot against because of our schematic lack of disruption and this season we really don't have an abundance of perimeter quickness/length. Our defensive effort and communication is really gonna have to be set to max to prevent teams from just going off on us and we obviously don't have a defensive intimidator inside, unless you count Liddell.
Getting Reid or a high quality transfer big for next season is going to be really important. I think the perimeter needs will eventually sort themselves out down the road as Meechie acclimates and as we add Branham then Gayle and Thornton.
Props to this team for finding a way to get this win and pulling it together more in the second half. Great performance by EJ.
