Malaki Branham met Clark Kellogg, watched video of D’Angelo Russell on Ohio State official visit
...

“That was good,” he said. “It’s a family atmosphere; you can always come back to Ohio State and be with your brothers that you played with. (I met) Jared Sullinger, Clark Kellogg, Jim Jackson and then I talked to one of the St. V alums, Curtis Wilson. Before I came down here he talked to our team before open gym, how St. V is a great place and all that stuff.”

...

″(The coaches) were really talking about how I will fit in their system and the kind of players who play like me or who I will play like,” Branham said. “They compared me to when coach Holtmann coached at Butler, Kelan Martin, the plays and stuff that he did. Then we watched a little D’Angelo Russell highlights, just with the ball in pick-and-rolls. They said I’m going to be in a lot of pick-and-roll actions and coach Holtmann said, ‘You have a great feel for the game and I think the ball should be in your hands.’

“That was good to hear.”

Article from 11 Warriors here

As for his recruitment, he is Ohio State's top priority when it comes to 2021, which was evident in the fact that assistant coaches Ryan Pedon and Jake Diebler made sure to stay late and watch Branham put on a show.

We caught up with Branham after the game and he had this to say about the Ohio State assistants being on hand to watch him: "It shows me that I am important to them, that they are showing a lot of interest in me." When asked if his recruitment has been put on the back burner with his season starting he said, "If they really want me they me they will be coming to the games like coach Pedon did." He also made sure to mention how much he enjoyed the official visit he took earlier this fall.

Overall, not only did Branham impress us, but he also impressed everyone in attendance. After talking to a few high school coaches and other people at the event, everyone came away impressed by the junior out of Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary.

I was a little slow on the Branham train, for the longest I just couldn't see why all the hype...needless to say I see it now, Kid has game and I see why he is top priority for the staff.

Side note... Jalen Sullinger looks really great as well, if that kid grows 3 or four inches like Ja Morant a lot of schools are going to be kicking themselves

Type of player Ohio State desperately needs.
It wasn’t necessarily the prettiest 44-point performance in the history of basketball, but none the less it was 44 points. Class of 2021 guard Malaki Branham poured in that number on Sunday against a pressing and trapping Trotwood-Madison team to help his team to a big win.

Branham, who is a top 25 players in the class, did almost all of his damage right around the rim using his length, size, and athleticism to convert close to the goal.

What is probably most amazing about the 44 points is that he really only took a handful of jumpers and didn’t make a three. Instead, he converted layups, got to the foul line 10 times and made all of his shots, and then also got offensive rebounds and finished that way.

Branham will have days where the jumper is falling, and that is when he will really get going, but none the less he played exactly how the game dictated, and put up one of the most prolific scoring games in the history of the event.
