2026 World Cup (Official Thread)

For all the talent, they still don’t have that American grit and life or death attitude required to win at the international level.

I was a huge Pulisic fan but I’m embarrassed to wear his jersey. He’s a massive, whiney bitch now that sits out and doesn’t show up anymore if everything isn’t catered to him. His interviews and on-field attitude are so non-chalant.

McKennie and maybe Adams have some dog in them. Balo fought. But this team is a bunch of overpaid babies, starting with “Captain America”. I’m honestly ready to move on from his prima donna act.

Gio Reyna needs to figure out how to be fit and last more than 30 minutes. He brought a spark (that Puli used to bring). And gimme Seb Berhalter’s attitude - at least that guy steps on the field ready to battle anyone, even if he’s not the most skilled.

Sadly, I’m ready for new blood. Massively disappointed in this run.

Diego Luna would've run over 6 guys to get in the way of that first goal.

Can continue resting and not put on a Red, White and Blue crest again for all I care.

All his interviews seem to involve resting now. He wants to sit tournaments out. Sit games out. Looks forward to not playing. No passion for the game.

Edit - and I don’t really care if the quote was cherry picked about specifically his ankle. It’s been his attitude for a while. Something changed in him or with his teammates’ attitude towards him. But he’s lost it.

This has to rank second to the loss in Trinidad, right? I was trying to think of a more embarrassing moment for US Soccer in the modern era, and that is thew only one I could come up with.

Argentina trying to out embarrass us but the VAR put a temporary hitch in that plan. Didn’t know a guy could dispossess an opponent 100 yards from paydirt, weave through a half dozen guys like he’s Barry Sanders, deliver a nice dime for a goal, and then have VAR say none of it counted because he committed a foul when he first got the ball. Still, Egypt got another one so fuck Argentina.

Argentina scores, they'll probably comeback now. Shoulda been 3-0, that was a complete bullshit call, rigging it for Messi.
