I just wonder what the hell happened to Germany. I remember reading a bunch of articles in the 2014, 2016, 2018 range that said the German system was the envy of Europe. The kids were getting to their academies, the developmental system was strong, the coaching and structural personnel were in place, the young players were in the leagues they wanted, the domestic league was getting stronger…now, what a crash and burn.
