This guy definitely has an agenda if you follow him (against Day). And these PFF grades can lose credibility, but…it supports my point that I hate our TEs and I hate if ever have more than 2 out there (really, more than 1 is too many).



But this ain’t changing with Day and Smith.

I miss the run from spread concepts Meyer+Day had. It was a match in heaven. The bunch stuff with everyone in the box is too much havoc (for our OL, QB and RBs).

This TEs are the ones who should be eating in the middle of the field. A simple "Pop" pass can go cut massive gains at times and terrifies the safeties.

I don't care if OSU never uses a TE again this season. I think they are exactly the reason things are getting bogged down.

I hope Day becomes more aggressive and creative like he was when he was first hired. Day used to be at the forefront of offensive gameplans, and now I am not sure why things are so conservative.

Maybe these past 3 games were just building up to something. Not sure

I can’t stand the tight end usage. We insist on throwing out 2-3 tight ends meaning we for sure don’t have our best 11 on the field. For the most part they’re non functional in the passing game and they’re a liability in the rush attack.

At this point just put Cook and Daniels in tight end numbers and bring them in to block. At least they’ll have an advantage in the run game.

But you’re right it’s not going anywhere. It’s been here since Ryan Day took over and it’s only increased in usage. Shit we had one of the best receiving tight ends in the country last year and we still couldn’t do anything with that group.
