Whittingham is far better coach than the butterknife guy so some of their warts are being slowly covered up a bit.

I'm not convinced their passing game is good enough to beat good competition if that competition has a viable offense of its own.

Ultimately I still think they are closer to an 8-4 team than a 10-2 team but time will tell.

Think they are a 7/8 win level type team that probably stumbles into the game with 9 wins on the incompetence they will get from a lot of their opponents. Just can't trust teams like Iowa and Ped State not to play right into their hands.

Underwood is a D level QB for a supposed "upper level" team and their OL doesn't look very good

Defensively we won't really know how good they really are until they play Indiana.

Oklahoma is basically Scum looking in the mirror, and they scored 51 on UTEP.

With that said, Whittingham is being smart with Underwood. Mostly short high percentage passes. Slowing the game down, and allowing him to improve.

Again, there is nothing too much to take away from the game because UTEP obviously is not a good team.

yeah he is - those are primarily the warts that are being covered up right now.

At some point someone is going to uncover them. I thought Oklahoma might but they are just as bad at passing the ball - potentially even worse. Mateer was awful to the point you have to wonder what he's being taught from the coaches....
