Forgotten upside.....lots of other B1G teams play MAC opponents. If you refuse to schedule them over this, you're cutting off your spy glasses to spite your face.
Just sayin': The above poster on "mgoblog.com" doesn't know what he/she is talking about. First of all the only B1G school that would be pissed is scUM. Even if scUM fans are pissed off they should realize that if won't have any effect on scUM scheduling future in state MAC schools. Both scUM and the instate MAC schools are Xichigan public state universities. The reason that scUM schedules an instate MAC school every year (see below) is to keep the money (which is well over a million a game now) in the state of Xichigan.This is a very stupid move by the MAC. They aren’t going to get this game overturned. But, they may piss off the Big Ten enough so that teams in the BIG move their money around to other mid-major conferences. Even a couple of games “lost” to a scheduling vendetta would be really bad for the MAC...
