My goodness, UM just keeps getting luckier if this result holds. They started the tournament with one of the highest seeds in the region, Texas Tech, missing their best player due to injury. Then #4 seed Alabama's #2 scorer & top 3-point shooter gets busted for dealing pot & off the team. Now #2 seed Iowa State's best player injures his ankle in the first game, opening the door for #7 seed Kentucky to knock them off potentially.

If Tennessee/Virginia are supposed to be toughest teams to stop UM from making the Final Four, that's just about as weak a draw in a region as I can recall.

Hard to believe, but Purdue has won 7 consecutive games in the Round of 32. They were upset in the first round twice within that streak.

Yeah, it's remarkable how poor of a team Kentucky is with $22 million in NIL. Someone there doesn't know how to build or coach a team.

Karma seems to never totally hit scUM, their football program probably fell up with their head coaching hire after the Sherrone crash out and now of course the hoops team is getting every gift possible for the easiest road to the final 4.
