2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA PRESS RELEASE FRIDAY NOONISH

Michigan coach Sherrone Moore is expected to be suspended for at least two games in the upcoming season for deleting a thread of 52 text messages with Stalions. One of the mysteries of the upcoming ruling is whether that self-imposed sanction of two games will be accepted or if there will be any additions to it.

Michigan has asked for that two-game ban to be served during the Wolverines' third and fourth games.

Michigan and all of its current and former coaches involved in the matter have said they were unaware of Stalions' alleged advanced scouting.

The school appeared before the NCAA infractions committee during a two-day hearing in early June.

Potential penalties for the other former Michigan coaches involved include suspensions, significant fines and other measures. Those are more likely than any significant program penalties for Michigan -- other than a hefty potential fine -- as recent NCAA precedent has steered the Committee on Infractions away from postseason bans in other cases.

This is Thamel today.

Is he just buying Michigan bullshit? I thought he was supposed to be plugged in. Even the rest of media is pretending nothing is happening. Sirius College Sports Radio has been covering the Oklahoma QB John Mateer Venmo thing as if some college kids making a Venmo memo joke is as scandalous as the Sandusky thing. No mention of Michigan at all.

And the precious Buckeye message board insiders saying "oh, the national guys haven't covered it because there's nothing to cover yet fellas! National journalists aren't going to just speculate and write bullshit to bury a program without any official NCAA release ..yeah, I mean they did for two straight years when it was Tressel and harassed Roger Gooddell about it until Tressel and Pryor got 4 game NFL suspensions, but that was different! They're seriously super real super serious journalists, guys! Seriously! Please don't call them low effort blogtards! They're working hard on covering nothing at all!"

They all knew something was coming this week and no one has written or covered shit except some shit from Spiro (who's a troll) or Thamel, who's brushing it off saying nothing is going to happen, as if Connor Stallions is his only source.

So, I think Thamel is probably right. The NCAA won't do shit because of pressure from Pettiti and Fox and zero pressure at all from sports journalists. The same assholes who torched us over some tattoos to the point the NFL got involved and levied punishments on people for NCAA infractions for the first and only time ever.

Fuck them all.

NOBODY (outside of the COI) not even Michigan knows of the COIs actual findings or what's in the report yet. So any claims are pure speculation and if they are coming from scUM sources pure sunshine pumping

Scum may have a inkling through their counsel, because usually the attorney's are kind of tapped in. So if it is just a slap, I wouldn't be surprised, but pissed.

So, I don't think we'll hear about the identity of the mole tomorrow. Was it every discussed that it could actually be a player and not a coach? We know now Stallions can't help but brag, some players had to know. Maybe someone transferred out, asked the new coach why they weren't acquiring signs like scUM, and that raised red flags. Would fit with the NCAA being so concerned with protecting their identity.

Has the NCAA ever gone out of their way to publicly justify a slap on the wrist before? I don't think so. This has got to be for them to line out their evidence as justification for harsh penalties
Unless the NCAA is concerned about the blowback from other programs and the media for a soft penalty, and they want to get ahead of it. Let's be honest, this very well may open up the flood gates, and they just slammed a few other cooperative programs.

A light punishment would be a very bad look for them, and they may want to head it off. So, I wouldn't read too much into the press conference.

I mean...we're talking about ESPN here for the most part. At least as it pertains to our tussle with the NCAA.

I think people learned a lesson from that shit. The short term ratings spike for pure speculation wasn't worth the fallout from dragging the largest alumni base's team through the mud. There are a few "personalities" that haven't been heard from since tattgate. Trev Alberts and Marky May to be specific.

Basically I just think they dont want the smoke if they’re wrong.

Thamel is just scared of their fanbase. As death threats are notorious for shutting people up.
