Recruiting pitch at LSU: We will develop you into a Heisman winning QB, with legit NFL star WRs to throw to.

Recruiting pitch at Michigan: We'll copy from your high school's playbook to try and find something you're already good at, because we sure as shit don't know what we're doing.
You forgot the part where they slide 12M across the table ....

Major Michigan NIL supporter Larry Ellison surpasses Elon Musk as richest man in the world

Ellison's connection to Michigan runs deep; his wife, Jolin, is a proud graduate of the university. Their affiliation with Michigan has recently gained attention, particularly due to their instrumental role in the Bryce Underwood NIL deal. This pivotal deal was crucial in encouraging Underwood to make the shift back to his hometown school, Michigan, from LSU. The deal was rumored to be over $12 million for the duration of Underwood's time at Michigan.
Even Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy found a way to use the news to advance Michigan's recruiting efforts. He tagged five-star Ohio State wide receiver commit Chris Henry, seemingly trying to entice Henry to rethink his commitment based on Ellison's status and ability to help the university. Strange times.

He's so fucking pathetic
Be that as it may, it seems like Larry Ellison increasing his net worth by $100 billion overnight is an issue that may significantly affect college football. If he wants to treat the Michigan football team as his pet project going forward (or his wife after that old man passes), a drop in the bucket to Ellison would single-handedly create a payroll with which no other college football team could compete.

These guys have such huge egos though, that once he did it others would "retaliate". What would be hilarious would be if being a college football player at a handful of programs became more lucrative than being an NFL player.
