2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA PRESS RELEASE FRIDAY NOONISH

Unless the NCAA is concerned about the blowback from other programs and the media for a soft penalty, and they want to get ahead of it. Let's be honest, this very well may open up the flood gates, and they just slammed a few other cooperative programs.

A light punishment would be a very bad look for them, and they may want to head it off. So, I wouldn't read too much into the press conference.

Theyve never been concerned about blowback from overtly soft penalties ever before. They just put it out there and basically say deal with it.

I haven't kept up with this case as much as most of you, so please forgive me if this is already obviously known. Does this announcement on Friday include the allegations related to hacking into practice ipads or tablets at Ohio State? And is that still a real allegation?

No.
Could be but some have said it won't be.
But there is still other shit that could rock their world. We'll see ....

Yeah, but this may kill them. If other B1G schools start saying screw this, let's join in with thr SEC and terminate NCAA oversight, it is over for them

Going overly soft on scUM here would kill them regardless to lengthy attempts at justification. The NCAA has to know this

Anyone who thinks they're getting off lightly is crazy, imo.

When the Big 10 suspended Harblow for the last three games of the 2023 season they cited evidence provided them by the "preliminary" NCAA investigation.

I quote you...

"organized, extensive, years-long, in person advanced scouting scheme that was impermissable."

Furthermore, the letter cited the following; "The extraordinary nature of the offending conduct" for its justification of its suspension.

Nothing the NCAA has uncovered since then has mitigated these circumstances. If anything, it's only cemented the knowledge that numerous members of the *ichigan coaching staff were directly involved or tacitly involved, i.e. had knowledge of what was occurring and said or did nothing to curtail it.

If anyone thinks the skunkbears are getting off with a slap on the wrist for this type of level 1 violation, in fact several level 1 violations, you're living in a fantasy world.

"His judgment cometh and that right soon."

Exact same. I was screaming (to no one) that they needed their season shut down the moment this came out. That’s what would’ve been the correct thing to do. Because that would’ve punished the team which benefited the most. I also knew they’d embrace their heel role and they’d circle the wagons. I just knew they’d find a way to win it all.

Blame stupid Sparty. When this shit dropped, Sparty was given the opportunity to take a bye, but they played anyway.

Fuck the ENTIRE state of Meatchicken.

Hope you are right. Sometimes I ingest a red pill and don't trust the system.

But my thing is who cares about any of that shit except the monetary part? My thinking for a while is that it has to be $$$$$. Now, how do you do that so an alum doesn't just pay it? Can you limit NIL or rev share? Failure to Monitor Or LOIC are the crimes, I think the delay is how do you hold them accountable?
With FORFEITED wins and a five year postseason ban. Simple.

Unfortunately I think 2 years is the biggest postseason ban we might see. It SHOULD be 3 to equal the cheated years but it won't be.

Now if it comes out that Sherrone was deeply involved or at minimum deeply involved in the cover up and they are forced to fire him. That will creat great hilarity. Imagine Biff 2025 scUM head coach.

Any postseason ban also should start in 2026. This hurts them quite a bit more than if it started in 2025
