I had just read Premierdrum's post on 11W and was coming here to post what he himself said above.

Getting this out early is best for the kids and creates a seperation between the announcement and the start of the season that the NCAA would likely want.

But getting it out before legal is comfortable could lead to the worst of all possible outcomes.

I am much more optimistic about the ultimate outcome and can wait as long as need be.

So long as it is still tomorrow.
TL;DR

Fuck them kids, amirite?

I agree with this. It actually can get worse. The (WEISS) class action civil suit is going to be problematic for the University... both monetarily and in what discovery might bring out. I think the suit will eventually be settled but we don't know what will have been revealed by then.
As for sports matters, contrary to some incorrect reporting (it's been bad on both sides), the FBI has not cooperated with the NCAA. At all. But there are other issues that have not yet come to light... although I think they could eventually. As bad as sanctions might be given the current allegations, there's more to the story. It's not about CMU, or practice footage, or Corum, or Weiss's crimes, or walk-on transfers or message board rumors. It didn't come from OSU. There are people at Michigan who know more and are starting to talk. That will be something to keep an eye on.

That's the shit they'd be better off just not saying. He's not going to say what he's referring to, we're waiting decades to hear from the COI, you're just stoking flames with that cryptic nonsense. Say it all or don't say anything. Especially while I'm wearing out my F5 key.
