As the world is showing us in real time, they don't need to. The followers will believe any dumb shit that they're told. It isn't going to be hard for the "insiders" to just make up another stupid lie and dare the idiots to call them out on it. I bet they have meetings where they see who can get away with the biggest, dumbest, most obvious lie. And they all win, because people would happily bash themselves in the head with a mallet rather than face facts that the side they've chosen miiiiiiiiiiiiiiight just be completely full of shit.

They are already setting up their stories. The story is the university was not willing to fight the eronious charges and punishments.

They UM sports media will in no way blame their sources, that would essentially cut them out of being "in the know".

The blame will be squarely on the university.

Yep. I think they are likely going to try to take the "THE NCAA WAS DISHONEST AND BLINDSIDED US HERE" route (which is of course complete BS). They will never turn even slightly on the university.

Which is hilarious because Ono and the university did everything they could to fight and deflect up to and including filing the world's worst advised lawsuit. They fought. They just didn't win. #BET

Who gives a shit how they try to spin it? In fact, I hope they all play the victim, including the Administration, AD, coaching staff and anyone and everyone even remotely affiliated with the university. Wasn't it the same day that the COI was announced, when Harbaugh immediately shot his mouth off about being totally and completely innocent? Wasn't it like the very next day that the NCAA slapped Jimbo with a 5 year show cause to shut his mouth right the fuck up?

Let them play the victim, let them come out and bitch about the NCAA blind siding them or being unethical in any way, and see what the NCAA's reaction might be......
