So on the day where TTUN is ‘lobbying’ at NCAA’s HQ in Indy, they needed to be ‘lobbying’ that gift basket.

Two things here: the cluelessness of TTUN, and the silliness of some NCAA rules.

But of course I’m rooting for another violation to have occurred, irony can lead to schadenfreude.

This isn't a hearing. No new evidence is being "entered". This is just a meeting for the COI to say "this is what we know you did", and a chance for Michigan to say "well ackshually.....". The presence of the guy they tried to talk to and were lied to and stonewalled at every turn is either going to:
A) Make the COI and the NCAA realize what fools they've been this whole time.
B) Make the COI and the NCAA even more annoyed.

Guess which one is more likely. Guess which one the DFFBIA believes.

Seems entirely possible to me that the COI and NCAA realize what fools they've been with their planned sanctions and decide they aren't stiff enough, AND THEN they get annoyed and everyone gets ... I mean the sanctions get a whole lot stiffer

Silly rule that we don't know if a violation of the silly rule even happened. This is literally somebody looking at a picture and wondering out loud to the internet.
