2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

Tweets like this is why I can't ever respect their program. Walking around with a constant false sense of superiority and victimhood
I used to have a friend who graduated from there. I found it annoying, though. She couldn't have a rational conversation. When Ohio State was going through their 2011 tattoogate, she couldn't admit that maybe *ichigan could possibly have some impermissible benefits, too. I was still going through the "everyone does it" phase with it, but agreed that Tressel should have been fired a lot sooner than he was. But she refused to entertain the idea that maybe *ichigan's players were getting free meals from time to time. I showed her some interview where some guy from Ball State said people were buying him meals the entire time he was on the team. And you're telling me that that doesn't happen at *ichigan at all? Nope. Never. And it isn't like she worked at the school - she was in Arkansas at the time.
Everyone else pays refs. Everyone else cheats. We do neither.

I think that’s one of the top rules of cults. Dissent shall not be tolerated. Everyone must toe the line. We did not cheat. Everyone is out to get us. We are the victims.

Not that I'm an expert on cults, but I'm sure you're right. I'm sure the idea is to get everyone on the same side by creating a common enemy. If there's any difference of opinion, then the enemy could be within, and that cannot be tolerated.
I'm also no expert on Nazi Germany, or Communist Soviet Union, China, or North Korea, but I wonder if they had more published differences in opinion than some of these teams' message boards do.

Antioch is pretty much reduced to on-line courses . The Wittenburghs and Ohio Wesleyans are struggling to survive financially. I think Kenyon, Dennison, Oberlin, and Case Western may be the only schools from that little conference that will survive.
Wasn't that scUM's 1896 football schedule?

If you were UMs interim president wouldn’t you call your ad in and have a come to Jesus meeting the day before the sixth and ask what was going to happen, what revealed, and what the ad intended to do, say? Really puts the interim in bad spot career wise.

Probably better for the interim to take a hands off "I got nothing to do with this mess" approach than try to get involved.

A few snippets from the Totchman today:

seems the enforcement staff won’t publically disclose that PI firm was paid by OSU - or that OSU paid a Michigan player via NIL to provide “dirt” on Michigan (much of it wrong - some of it made to look worse then it was - etc….) and the family of a pedo fired when it came out he tried to get a 13 year old drunk and have sex.

seems they feels they will be embarrassed if the basis of all this gets out - but would ask them to read the investigation report provided by OSU is all OSU related content which discloses source is supposed to be “unbiased”.

NCAA has two options - be unreasonable - and Connor - Michigan etc fight them with appeals and in court - frankly I like this option and will gladly provide a road map to where bodies are buried and people to depose - while Michigan will have some dirt (we have already been hit) upside to hit NCaA - big ten and others is huge

or NCAA can cut a deal - agree to 2 games for Coach Moore - ask for some fine - do show Causes at time served and move on
the NCAA staff has already gotten whet they really wanted (as well as OSU)- jim Harbaugh gone - the rest of this has been gravy - OSU issue with Jim gone has been they can’t beat Coach Moore - when do they try this BS against him now?

not sure what will happen - hope Michigan is ready to fight if needed - although have doubts in a game if chicken if the collective Michigan has the nads for this fight

we will see

Obviously we didn't beat Moore, and that counts for them. But the person who was shocked the most that Michigan won that game is Moore. The look on his face from each game they won was essentially "how the fuck are we doing this?".

That won't last much longer. I think each game they win this year will soon become a look of confidence. "I'm a lot better at this than I thought." and "This is easier than they said it would be."
When that crashes down, it'll become a look of "I have no idea what I'm doing out here."
