Yes, but they were just practicing what their coaches were telling them. It's not their job to figure out how the plays always worked. It's very possible to pull off what they did without telling the players. They should have had questions at some point......but are you, as a player, going to assume your coaches are cheating, or that everyone is just jealous of how good you are?

Purdue and Maryland are good games for that.

I think they likely lose @ Oklahoma, @ Nebraska, @ USC and to Ohio State. That's 4 losses right there.

Even if they manage to pull one of those out of their ass (@ Nebraska most likely) they probably make up for it for losing some game like @ Michigan State or to Wisconsin.

Don't bet on USC. USC is the new early 2010s-Clempson.

USC is of course what they are, scUM needed some fluke shit to beat them at home last year. If USC is even just equal to last year scUM likely drops the game to them on the road.

I can think of 3 games they should've lost off the top of my head just from that alone: USC, Minnesota, us. I'm sure if I go look at their schedule I'll remember a couple more. I said on more than one occasion during that fiasco that if you didn't know the teams or that it wasn't fixed, you'd just say that red team was doing it on purpose.

DFBIA is likely going to get a gigantic dose of false hopium out of the gate in week 1. New Mexico is going to be terrible, they lost all their "good" players to the portal from a 5-7 team (pretty much their whole possible returning offensive production left).

Hell Underwood might even have a 1 week Heisman campaign. The Lobos gave up 38 PPG and 492 YPG last year.

Which will make for some hilarious talk for a week before they stumble over themselves @ a meh Oklahoma squad.

I’d … like … to … see … the NCAA‘s recommended penalties leak out in June, even though they won’t be final until the obvious … appeal … delays … the … official announcement until November.

Let … the … world … (and .l. recruits) … know … they’re looking at a multi-year bowl ban as they struggle through the 2025 season. … Then … in … November, … when… their 7-5 season is almost done, let them know that their delays due to stonewalling … and … appealing … have … caused … the … 2-year postseason ban to be for 2026 and 2027, not including the … mediocre … 2025 … season … they’re … about to complete.

I … want … the … wins … gone … and a multi-year bowl ban, and a 5-year show cause for Sherrone Moore and everyone involved … in … the … sign … stealing … and … hacked practice footage. Fines are rather meaningless, and scholarship reductions … aren‘t … as … impactful … as … they should be. But whack them starting in 2026 and 2027.

The penalties have to be harsh otherwise what’s the deterrent? It would absolutely be worth it for other programs if they get to keep the rewards for their past few seasons.

You have to take the wins. You have to not recognize the titles. Then you have to punish them going forward for at least 2 seasons.

You have to make it harsh.
