The obvious "are they gonna pay a kid $12mill to sit on the bench" question pops up.....but then I realize they'd have to come close to that number to force me to watch them play 12 games, so I get it.

There's an in state kid who's pretty good at throwing the football....
Said in state kid has zero interest in going to school in state until.... scUM rounds up 12M.
Kid apparently takes to the who "Xichigan Xan" mythos (which is to say, he gets fat and sloppy, acting like he's already "arrived")
Kid gets to get some action in his first spring game and...
scUM goes looking for QBs who couldn't win the starting gig at ....

I could care less for the QB situation. I want two things.
First, us to go back to crushing them in November.
Second and bonus, the hammer fall on them after the portal window has closed so their current players and staffers are trapped on their sinking ship.

This is the year the real sharp decline hits.
The offense had just enough in the tank left last year to keep them from losing to the bad B1G teams, this year the tank is empty and the defense will hit a drop off as well without 2 first round DTs anchoring the Dline.
Underwood is going to struggle big time with no capable WRs, a average level OL and a running game that will take a step back as well. Very good chance he bolts after 1 year. Jaydn Davis is just not good at all, there's a reason his recruiting ranking tank once the book got completely opened on him.

I believe step one for either is get fat as fuck. It's called the Michigan plan. Or the Tennessee plan.
Technically the Tennessee plan has rules about when to wear/not wear shirts. I won't bore you with the details. It's complicated.
