2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

How can we help JD get Musk into Buckeye fandom?

I found The Film Guy Network watching playoff film breakdowns and find him enjoyable. It's good to hear that outside college football fans have hatred for the punks:

The good guys took the crown of their most hated programs overall, too:

The good guys also earned their most hated program crown:

I posted this to 11W but I'm adding it here, too:

Just dropping in with a timely comment after a brief back-and-forth this evening with a contact from my TV days, a now-retired federal agent.

Some of tonight's developments center around really bad people who do really bad things.

Brohio has a rock solid track record of doing things the right way and keeping himself protected.

For the rest of us, I'd be very, very careful tossing assumptions around on this aspect. Especially for those of us whose identities are known or easily found.

We've said from the beginning that this gets dark and very bad. As intriguing as it may be, this is an area where I ask that we all exercise extreme caution.
Yep. While it's fun to clown on TSUN the Weiss shit can go places people wind up dead or worse if they stick their noses into. So while it's interesting to watch anyone involved in the sleuthing be careful as hell and know when to bail if your safety is at sake.

And a reminder the Weiss stuff involves the lives of lots of innocent people who had no connection to college football.

It’s kind of insane to think that we have reached this level of depravity. Damn.

Two new notes that have come into focus over the past several days:

The video story, as we've said here for quite a while, is 100% real. Disclosure of the breach appears to have been made by investigators to OSU's General Counsel, who then notified senior university leadership including technology and public safety. This triggered operational changes within the WHAC, which I now believe provided enough context for staffers to clue in on what had happened. Outside of one specific case, the source for the OSU beat's early reporting on this was an OSUFB staff member. It's also worth noting that around this same time at least a few members of UM's beat learned of the access as well.

The jucier bit is that at least one other B1G team believes their videos were accessed by UM. This suspicious has since been reported to the conference and will likely be an important component of any new NCAA investigation.

It's only Wednesday.
Drip, drip, drip, drip.

The anxiety they must be feeling up there right now is fucking delicious. Death by 1000 papercuts. So, it sounds like a ruling in the advanced scouting investigation should be handed down sometime this summer. That will be on top of the "cheeseburgers, bro" punishment for which they're already on probation and got their former cheating HC banished from CFB. And we still seem to have a whole other scandal to deal with.

It's never good to defend yourself in a suit when there's been somwhat similar situations that you've had to pay a settlement.

"It never would have crossed my mind that I could have been involved, and that's, I think, why there's so much outrage on our end," the woman, a former University of Michigan female athlete, told "Good Morning America."
"I've been a fan of the university my entire life," she said. "To know that I put so much trust and so much faith into that institution, and they have betrayed me in such a significant way -- I mean, it's terrifying."
Parker Stinar, a managing partner with the Chicago-based firm Stinar Gould Grieco & Hensley who filed the lawsuit on behalf of the plaintiffs, said he hopes to find out more about what happened to the alleged victims' information and "to better understand how the university failed these individuals and to hold them accountable."

"We're talking about the University of Michigan, one of the largest, most powerful and respected academic institutions in the world, that allowed this to take place by one of their employees," Stinar told "Good Morning America."

Stinar said this "isn't the first time that we have seen the University of Michigan fail their alumni and their athletes," pointing to the case of the late Dr. Robert Anderson, who served as the school's sports team physician for decades and was accused of molesting or sexually abusing more than 1,000 victims. In 2022, the university reached a $490 million settlement in connection with the allegations.
