So I wasn't thinking of it as their attempt to avoid punishments. I was thinking of it as their way of avoiding having to play by the rules.Food for thought;
Not even states like Alabama, Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi have had to use the state legislature to try and get the football schools out of trouble.
Just sayin'
Subpoena Time! And Ono too. Deposed under oath, and I guarantee you that Harbaugh will be a walking perjury machine.
Yeah, I was thinking about this and I guess from this perspective (and once again this particular part of this case has a real creep and real victims beyond football so I don't want to lose sight of that) I would find it very surprising if the university's (or athletics) liability carrier hadn't already deposed anyone with knowledge of Weiss's activities... At the very least "who knew what and when" - if there's anything worse than old Vegas, its insurance companies.So, where was the university general counsel in all this? That is 100% who the fbi reaches out to. Then, he would take it to Ono and the two of them would then call in Warde and Simple Jim.
Any decent lawyer dealing with a federal sexual predator case would also keep detailed notes of these meetings. Now, with Ono, it's perfectly plausible that he would stop it right then and there so as to not disrupt the team. The finger pointing is going to be epic, and the general counsel holds the real answers.
Seems like somebody forgot the rules.I don't know what you are talking about and even if I did, I wouldn't.

As long as he keeps winning, Harbaugh will be fine. You can pretty much get away with anything in the NFL. Moore and Ono are finished though.
