Lol yea Ohio State needed defensive signals in 2018 and 2019 to pick apart Don Brown playing man to man coverage with no over the top help against guys way faster than their DBs. Took a real genius scheme of sign stealing to tear that defense apart.

Connor's talent was breaking Day's pseudo illegal check-with-me playcalling. The coordinators can't tell on their own when a new play is called in and so Connor is simply a genius with being the first and only thinker to have a guy stand beside the coordinator to prevent changing a play call before the opponent does. All those jumbo laminated menus with the opponents' signals diagramed before kickoff was just, like, 5% of what he did and we don't really even need to discuss them so thank you, interviewer, for not asking.
