Their D wasn't overly good this year. They had one strength that tOSU & bammer inexplicably chose to attack in their games. Hell, the DFBIA was calling for Wink's head after Oregon thrashed them.

You'd think next year they should have a even bigger drop-off considering that strength is pretty much all gone.

The transfers they got on the DL are big bodies who were heralded HS recruits but that was 3-4 years ago, neither have produced at a even average level in college.

They dropped off a cliff this season. I don't think they're going to fall to the level of Rutgers(we can hope), because there will always be DCs with big names always willing to take the position even to just propel them to another spot

Yeah the waiting sucks and it's uncertain as to what the ultimate result of this will be, but it's very clear (to me at least) that the ingredients are there for TCUN to be brought down.

I don't particularly care what the fans think or say. The only thing that matters is what the NCAA says. Multiple level 1 violations, repeatedly thumbing their nose at the NCAA, lying, dodging, ducking, etc....it's all there to get hammered.

Yeah. This is as close to an open & shut case as there is. tCun have been embroiled in multiple controversies over the last half-decade and have thumbed their nose at the NCAA every step of the way. If they aren't treated harshly, the NCAA might as well shutter up their doors because there is zero reason to follow the rules...or at least if you're a Tier-1 program. If the NCAA wants to maintain any order or discipline, they need to make an example of the cheating bastards.

I agree, and that's why I'm expecting to be disappointed. They've had, like, a year or 15 months or 100 months or 200 years - I've lost count. When Tatgate happened, 2010, Tressell benched the players, then the Sugar Bowl and the Big Ten fought to get the players reinstated. So the NCAA allowed it. But initially, the punishment was NOW. So we went the rest of the winter, and into spring before we found out that Jim Tressell was also involved. If we say that the clock starts at that time - say April, 2011, things were sorted out by November, weren't they? 7 months later?
It has now been double that much time for this case. I get that the clock may have reset when Central Michigan got their faces involved. But it's like, "You're over the legal limit for weight on this bridge." "Oh? Well then let me throw some more junk in the trunk." Do we need to start the whole process of weighing the truck?
