Offense will more than likely be better than what Ferentz is rolling out at Iowa these days. I do expect the scUM D to actually hit a real drop off though, they've stumble into NFL Caliber DCs recently now they are moving back to a mere college level DC who's never been tested at the highest levels.

Yes, but that was largely because Whittingham isn’t an elite recruiter and their severe lack of depth in the secondary was a major problem. I’m sure he’ll fix that at UM in the new NIL and transfer portal landscape in a region he’s never been before as a 66 year old largely with retread staff members who also have never recruited the region.

Yeah, Whittingham has had the solid offense and not so good defense(ironic since he's known to be a defensive coach), whereas Kirk is known as the other way around. But word is, Kyle is set to hire the BYU DC. Would be a solid hire, but yet another coach will little recruiting acumen

Not a popular opinion here, but given the high number of mediocre programs in the Big Ten a nd two to three ooc games with weak programs, he should roll into The Game with a shot at making the playoffs. The NCAA seems determined not to interfere with Michigan in order to keep the TV people happy.
