Legal question, with the Weiss investigation ongoing and hundreds or thousands of victims, is scUM open to $$$$$$$$$ civil suits?

Not a lawyer but the answer is yes.

Basic angle is "the school knew or allowed it to happen under their watch and my client was injured"

If It comes out that the school (defined as any of it's leaders like say Simple Jim, Warde manuel or others) actively covered it up to keep the football program on the rails then, Katie bar the door.

It will like Saturday night at your mom's house when there are five new ships in the harbor.

Already seeing the headlines from XICHIGAN sites:
Homerun Hire!

"Home run" hires don't settle for MWC/PAC 12 caliber buddies as coordinators. They coulda done a lot worse at HC but if these really do end up being his coordinator hires it's a better outcome than if they brought in a Brohm/Monken and they happened to land actual high level coordinators

I feel more like it's a solid double maybe a triple.

Though watching them try to spin hiring Poggi as a win would have been hilarious

Just using their comments

No one has a clue how this will go. Those fucking idiots thought BOTH Rich Rod and Hoke were home runs at one point as well.

Just in case anyone forgets (or tries to deny), a quick reminder of the DFBIA's talent in judging coaching hires:InRodWeTrust-300x195.jpghoke_zpsgw7zjrzt.JPG

Guess it depends on what they run. Doubt it’s a bad hire, but their past 3 DCs were tailor made to disrupt what OSU wanted to do. So could definitely hurt there.

It's a pretty meh hire. The guy wasn't landing at a "upper level" type program until his old buddy got hired at Michigan and came calling.

The response is exactly as I predicted.Their fan base is the sort that thinks that just because they say something it is automatically true. Don't know much about the coordinator hires but they will be hyped regardless

Not a bad hire, but a 66 year old with no recruiting ties to your region or the south who is basically a 9-4 guy throughout his career is not a home run hire. He'll keep them where they've been outside of the 3 year cheating outlier.

The way it appears that he's forming his staff he is bringing in guys with him who also lack regional and southern ties. Trying to bring West coast type cultures to scUM is about the same as trying to bring whatever Rich Rod was selling in. It's probably not going to be as disastrous, but I think the natives are gonna start getting restless after 2/3 years.
