The race to find a coach is that they think their program is teetering on an edge. They won a national championships after all!

2024 they justified in a number of ways. "We had to replace every coach except Moore", "we had 13 players selected in the draft!"

This season has been "Moore was a bad pick", "We lost our DL" and "we had a true Freshman at QB and were trying to install a new offense".

Three years in a row of single digit wins can't be excused away. One season is an outlet. Two seasons can be lucky or transitional years. Three seasons They have to hit a HR hire that comes in and wins 10 games or it's a tragectory.

AND 2025 has been a rebuilding year for Ohio State. We lost a ton to the NFL last year, including our OC, lost our DC and had to install a completely new defense and have a true Freshman QB. They would never admit it, but the next 2-3 seasons were supposed to be the years the Buckeyes were supposed to return to being a playoff bound, national championship favorite. Not this year! This year was the year they were supposed to have an upper hand on us again. The future is frightening as hell for a Michigan.

They’ve had single digit wins in 18 out of 26 seasons since 2000. 3 out of 8 of the 10+ win seasons were from cheating their asses off. We need to find another metric for what they need to find an excuse for.

They really don't want to see the numbers for the last half of the 20th century then.

They are a ~3 loss per year team historically. Not making it up because I hate them, it's fact.

More often than not they are teetering on that line between a 3 loss season and a 4 loss or worse season and have convinced themselves they are some kind of perennial title contender.

TRUTH! They've also lost 18 times to THEE over the past 25 years and chose to bow out of a game due to suspicious Covid concerns because they knew that they would be beaten like a drum.

So all the cheating, the federal privacy crimes by a coach, Bo ignoring sexual assaults, the Fab Five, the hockey program’s shenanigans, and the myriad of additional off-field issues were all totally fine. Arrogance is the primary word to describe anything and everything Xichigan. Problem is that they are too arrogant to do anything about it. That's why, ultimately, nothing is truly going to change there. It's a large part of their DNA.
