2025 NFL Draft April 24 - 26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay

I'm curious how the Chargers brass watched their team run the football well all season before, as it happened in San Fran, a Harbaugh passing offense imploded as the schedule wore on; only to address that concern by *checks notes* Ah yes, draft another RB in the 1st round.
Thank God it wasnt either of our guys

somebody talk me off the ledge, but how the f*ck does tcun get 3 top-15 picks in?

i mean... like outta nowhere. what was their recruiting rank back in what... 2021/2022?

it's not dumb luck. it can't be. WTF?

EDIT: i mean i know they're good players, but not THAT good... not ALL three of them. freaking hell, grant's overall rank was projected at barely in the 1st round, nowhere inside the top 20.

So the chalk lately is Shadoodle to the Stillers at 21. So the clowns trade with the Broncos at 20, yes?

Ultimately I was really worried when he was still on the board at 22... That's the official Browns bust zone

Why must we always talk folks off the ledge? I think we're going to let you jump.

Grant and Loveland were reaches. Loveland was still projected top20, but being the first TE is just straight up stupid. Loveland gathered his stats by being on the most unimaginative offense this side of Iowa. Warren got his stats by having an OVERLY imaginative offense tailored around him instead of a WR (because they didn't have one). It's a small distinction in my mind, but I feel like it's an important one. Throw any big slower WR in Loveland's spot (because that's what he is) and you'll see the same stats. I don't think you can do that in Warren's spot.

i agree... loveland at #1 TE is utterly stupid. yeah, the offense, for lack of a better word, that they were running helped, but by that logic warren should've gone first to anybody wanting to use their first pick on a TE.

grant at 13 (?) is still a headscratcher...

This is a shit draft.

Graham at #5 isn't a huge surprise, I've seen him mocked that high pretty frequently, though less as the draft got closer. It's a safe pick. The odds he flat-out busts are probably pretty low, but the odds of getting #5 pick production out of him are probably even lower. Clowns should have traded again down if they could, but that might not have even been an option.

Loveland over Warren is outrageous. But it's the Bears, so...

Grant was a huge reach. Maybe he turns into a decent interior DL, but top-15 pick production? Not bloody likely. Again, early on in the cycle I was seeing him mid-to-late 1st, but he started to fall out of most mock first rounds as the draft moved closer.

A lot of this draft seemed like teams going for safe picks that are unlikely to be horrific busts, but are also not likely to be as good as their draft position would indicate. A huge lack of top-end talent this year, so teams grabbed guys that most years would go much lower. I think 5 years from now this first round will show a lot of guys that became starters, but only a couple that became standouts (Pro-Bowlers).

USC had not one. I thought Lincoln Riley was supposed to be at least offensive extraordinaire. He going to end up fired soon if he can't even get them QB's and WR drafted in the 1st round anymore.
