Even Sayin being in the top 10 is a stretch. Guys who have yet to hit the field, basically ever, should not be in a pre-season top 10. Should only be 3rd and 4th year guys who have shown promise to start with, and then as the cream rises, see who ends up on top.

Well, we’ve seen Klubnik, Allar and Lagway play so you know they aren’t winning it. They have a token defensive player on there.

Manning and Sayin have no bad tape so they make sense as QB of popular team

Smith is best player but his QB is unknown

As far as what this award has morphed into over the years this is consistent with what you’d expect.
