We all have our favorites

Randy Gradishar day has always been important to me. But this year might give me a new favorite day in the countdown

If the recently reported 45 day time period holds to the letter, then whatever hammer there is falls on Hop Cassady Day. Fitting I suppose. But recall that Fullback Jamar Martin wore #39, and Tressel referred to him as “a HAMMER” (emphasis his). So if the passing of the sentence is delayed by one day, I might be ok with it
My all-time favorite buckeye is a linebacker too, #47

Michael Bennett

A great example of "The Ohio State Effect"; Michael was named first team All American in 2014, but not first team all big ten.

and then there is Kevin Woidke

Charles Csuri 1922-2022

The Joseph Sullivant Medal is basically an all-fields Nobel-prize type of award for OSU alumni. It was first awarded in 1924 and was given out about once every 5 years from then until 1970. Since then however, it has only been given 6 times (roughly half as often). Despite the obviously very high standards for the Medal, Charles was awarded it in 2000 for his pioneering contributions to the field of computer graphics and digital art.

Here is a piece entitled "Hummingbird" that he created in 1967.

For those of us who are old enough to remember the other things being done with computers in 1967, this is incredibly impressive.
