2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

Phantom holding call really killed all the momentum we had built in the 2nd half. 3rd and 4 turned into 2nd and 20, and we never saw the ball again.

EDIT TO ADD I don't mean to say I think that's why we lost or anything, and I believed the call until the replay, so it's more about the timing of the call. Like why was that 1 of 2 flags thrown all night?

The lack of quick game when you saw what their pass rush did to our........I struggle to call them an offensive line......we shouldn't have had any longer than 2 seconds from snap to throw at the absolute most.

I'll usually lay the blame of that on the play caller, but that looked like Sayin tonight.

Oh well. Can't win em all. At least when we beat them we took their manhood and a trophy. They get to whoop and holler with a coke head and a murderer and go try to do it again and again. I have my doubts.
Yeah Sayin missed open guys. On the last drive where he forced it Jeremiah he had Tate for more yards open. The play before the disaster he had Innis wide open on the sidelines at 8 yards just standing there.

There’s a reason why Sayin finished the game 9-10 for 120 yards or whatever…

Because the coaches got their head out of their ass in the second half.

Bottom line is we missed a field goal and threw a pick 6 and that’s the difference in the game.

With all that said, Miami dominated that game at the LOS. We all made fun of David Pollack but he was right.

He was damned right. Miami spent their money on DE and OT while we spent on WR and WR.

I feel like some of it was rust early, but I really thought we had turned a corner as a program with the oline play of last year. Losing 2 first round draft picks mattered. And wow, special teams has to be an emphasis in the off-season, like maybe have an actual special teams coach.

Still not sold on Bowen. The Oline regressed
We had a rough go at the end of the year. There’s questions now that’s for sure.

Previous to Indiana I thought “oh shit we don’t need anyone but Ohio kids”…

Now I don’t know if that’s good enough. I have never seen an OL from OSU get whooped this bad and that includes Florida from 2006z
