2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

I feel like some of it was rust early, but I really thought we had turned a corner as a program with the oline play of last year. Losing 2 first round draft picks mattered. And wow, special teams has to be an emphasis in the off-season, like maybe have an actual special teams coach.
Yeah someone needs to get in Day's ear about a kicker. Fielding is I'm sure a nice kid but he crumbles too often under pressure and in this day and age to not have one you trust from 50+ at least even odds is rough

I don't get all you guys blaming the o-line ... was this a surprise to you all down 2 starters on a line exposed against IU? Play calling can help - and we finally saw some of it - tempo, etc it's just really sad watching us waste a generational defense.

Holding call sucked, clock management sucked, kicker and Sayin not great tonight - line not great but that is known quantity so make an adjustment and not just yell at the sky.

We had outlets open pretty much all game for yards. Sayin didn't throw them. And worse he refused to throw the ball away and live another down

herrsirrrrrrr ACC schedule ACC schedule.

Jesus just shut the fuck up. How can you be confident.

Here we are — at a loss and no directions

Not going to tell anyone to be confident, but the direction is clear.

Daniels could not get back in his drop. They desperately needed to move him to guard or replace him. Obviously there are issues at RG, too. The OL did not have the development and adaptation it did last year. Ian Moore needs to start at an OT spot, maybe move Siereveld back inside and get another tackle.

Sayin has issues, but no QB is going to thrive in the conditions of the past 2 games. He needs to focus on coverages and pressures, not holding onto the ball, and being more willing to scramble. He had a great year but his inexperience combined with pressure really limited the offense.

Day also needs a home run OC hire to add more to the run game, but also creativity in general. I’m sure the OL limited what they could call, but it was still a disappointing gameplan.

I love this defense, and they played their heart out this game, but they need help on the interior DL and quicker edge players to come in and wreck early passing downs. Some of that is on the way.

Work on retaining everyone you can and swing for the fences in the portal. This team was a few key OL and experience at QB away from challenging for a repeat.

Not a mod, but I thought we were not supposed to be really attacking players all the time? Fielding has failed in high pressure kicks, but last I saw, he has done moderately well over the years. Is he done now?

And comparing to Nugent is just blasphemy.
Yeah I didn't see anything over the line on fielding and that standard has slipped a bit over the years. We should hold ourselves to higher standard though
