2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

3 mocks have him going to the giants at 5. That would probably make him a number 2 behind Nabors, another has jets which puts him behind Wilson but yeahhh he could be a 1 on some teams let alone a 2.
I’m fairly bullish on Tate, but I wouldn’t pick him top 10.
I just don’t see his draft position getting any higher than it is now. So, it’s time for him to go.

I just came here to say that I can’t stand Cignetti. He’s a classless, smug, asshole. There’s a code in coaching where you pull your starters and call of the dogs when it’s out of hand. Indiana, of all teams, should be thankful of this “etiquette” in past years, because their team has been dogshit in most seasons. Now they have success and decide it’s time to start blowing everyone out. It’s a cute story. If any other coach did the same thing they would get tore up for running it up. But since it’s Indiana, it’s a “cute” story. Fuck that. I promise you one thing, this is going to come back to bite them in the ass in a long run.

I never thought that I’d say this, but I’ll be rooting for Miami next week. That’s all.
When was the last time that Ryan Day pulled his starters? If you haven't noticed, there's a bit of a bloodbath in the portal. A quarter of the team is transferring out because they never get a snap, meaningful or otherwise.

Hey I guess we’ll see. I just don’t think he’s physically like some of the last few WRs we’ve had going pro.

He’s sort of well rounded but not dynamic at one particular thing if that makes sense.

He will have a long career but I personally don’t expect him to break out early

IU’s path would have been much easier for the Buckeyes. They’re damn good and overwhelming teams but Bama as a warm up would have been nice. Who knew that Big Ten 3rd and 1 and then following FG miss could change so much.

Undefeated 16-0 in this era is pretty nuts. Overall a pretty good run but not OSU’s level last year - Oregon (x2), Ohio State, Bama and potentially Miami. I don’t see how they don’t roll The U.

Also, last year IU’s only losses were to the two teams playing in the championship. This year, Ohio State will have that distinction.

Also, IU struck gold, not only with Cignetti and his year 1 transfers but look at that OOC schedule the last 2 years.

Heck, I don’t think they’ve played anyone with close to a pulse OOC in the last 15 years. I might be missing someone but they really ease into the season.
IU played at a ranked Mizzou team in 2014. They lost hosting a #8 Cincy team in 2021, who I’m sure weren’t expected to be that good when the game was scheduled.

But normally, yeah, their toughest OOC games are an occasional Virginia or Louisville.

They’ve purposely scheduled three easy games. But I agree with that approach.

We should get out of these big OOC games. Maybe with it moving to 16 we can afford to play them from a loss stand point but overall there’s no point to these games. There never has been.

Not to mention the lost revenue when you play the away game and the reps the back ups get when you play a cupcake.

I believe that Louisville game has been at “neutral site” Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Good info on the remaining ones. Confirms there hasn’t been much.
