2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Dude, he did that in his last game ever.

I’m sorry but if he’s not going to scramble it’s not going to happen. Of course I’m going to root like hell but theres moments where our teams going to need it step up.
I've been arguing for the last month that if we put in Dakota inside the 10 we win both games vs Indy and Miami. Not INT return and no fall down shorts vs Indy

He's saying that was the athlete that did it, not Cignetti. You can argue it either way I guess

Looked to me like great coverage and the DBs being where they're supposed to be, often a sign of good coaching. And what even is that point? Every play ever has been made by the players. The cope and mental gymnastics to discredit him is too much, even if you don't like his personality

I really don't know why you have such a problem acknowledging what Cignetti has done. He clearly has a team that's fully bought in to his coaching philosophy and program culture. I didn't say that is the singular reason they're great.
I’ll give Cignetti credit for taking advantage of the new NIL Wild West. He brought in coaches /guys he had coached at his old program and sprinkled in experienced older players. Kudos.

Spare me the culture BS though. This is a bought and paid for run. Which, apparently is what CFB has become based on the current NIL/ Transfer Portal trajectory. It has nothing to do with culture anymore.

Can he sustain it over multiple years, we’ll see.

Yep, he learnt the system and used it to his advantage which is what he should do. The NCAA that we once knew and loved is dead and buried. Time to move on. It's not culture anymore, it's business.
