honest question... are the mouth pieces dangling from the face mask ... just "flair" no-one seems to using it and its clear its not something to do with safety (I know it actually is a safety concern) that they can flag or force so ... its just flair and a fashion statement...

In 2018 The Game, a B1G offical gave OSU a penalty out of the blue in a big spot because a player had his mouthpiece still stuck in his helmet. Urban went apoplectic (rightfully so). It never gets talked about enough but that one is what I always remember as to just how bad B1G officiating can get.

You NEVER see that call. Anywhere.
