If BYU wins theirs and knocks the Domers out, that’s a good thing this year. And meanwhile CCGS make good teams take risks while Notre Dame takes a week off.
Basically you described bama last yearWatching the Texas fans cry on other forums is hilarious
Imagine losing to a 4-8 team and needing OT to beat 2 5-7 Teams and then basically describing this as "A travesty of the greatest 3 loss team ever getting left out of the playoff". Only in the SEC SEC SEC!!!
Basically you described bama last year
Ain’t gonna happen. ND owns NYC to Boston market.I won’t watch the show tonight, I haven’t seen any of those this season. I’ll look at the rankings soon afterwards.
I expect the ‘Committee’ to slide Bama ahead of Notre Dame. Because if BYU and UGA win this week, that leaves 1 spot from the group of ND/Bama/Cryami/Texas/Vandy.
If they don’t put Bama ahead of ND now, after a ‘gritty road win in a rivalry game’, it will be hard to justify moving them ahead of ND after a CCG loss to UGA. But if they slide Bama ahead of ND now, next week they can say ‘we aren’t dropping Bama after losing a CCG’.
Picking Bama in that situation also takes the heat off of picking between ND and Miami and having to ignore the head-to-head to pick ND.p next week.
Of course, they’ll say they don’t look ahead and aways rank from scratch each week, but that’s a crock.
Yeah, that loss to OSU is what sank them. Not the loss to a team that finished 4-8 overall and 2-6 in their conference. That was a good loss to an SEC team nobody wants to play.No fan of the SEC, especially Texass and Bama, but if Texas gets left out, you can bet their AD is on the phone cancelling the game with the Buckeyes. I don't think Day would mind that either.
Apparently, the OSU loss is the problem because scheduling that game was in their control. If they had scheduled a cupcake, they’re in. It’s still whiny stupid, but I see their viewpoint.Yeah, that loss to OSU is what sank them. Not the loss to a team that finished 4-8 overall and 2-6 in their conference. What's leading you to write the post?I’ll bet anyone any amount they want that Texas will not back out of next years game vs OSU should they get left out of the CFP this year.
We can take it to email DMs or whatever but be prepared to put money down.
I say this because when real money comes into play, people forget the message board bullshit.
