*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

I hope they land them all… then when we beat the fuck out of them and then the NCAA does the same they all ask for their release

These guys would purely be jumping to scUM for the $$$ if it were to happen and they did indeed fling the cash out, if they landed them it would end up like the Texas A&M class they went full NIL on and like over half the guys transferred after 1 season. Guys who were in no other way interested in the school but went there because a huge bag got offered tend to not last long.

A guy bought scUM a QB because his wife (his 5th wife now for the record) asked him to and probably to make her happy. This guy has ZERO affiliation with scUM otherwise. I doubt he's forking over 50 mil per year for a college football team. I know he has a ungodly amount of money but that does not mean he's going to be a open check book for the Michigan football program. It really seems like a one time transaction for the most part.

Also scUM is going to end up regretting at some point associating themselves with a douche canoe like Dave Portnoy.

And again let’s see what they can buy when they get the punishment they get.

We will find out what’s more important that’s for sure… winning and playing in big games or money.

That said I have no doubt those numbers are full of shit. So 50 mil per year from one donor when our team is worth 20 mil?? So just one donor is going to more than double the money available for kids? Sure….

Anything they do now is just showering the fan base with sunshine hoping it will keep them from turning on them if bad sanctions do drop. It’s also to help them ramp up the victim narrative “they saw we were about to take over the sport and couldn’t have that!”

I can’t wait until these self absorbed big shots demand a seat at the table to “make suggestions “ to the coach. Sooner or later that much money comes with strings attached.

This is the most fascinating side of NIL.

All it takes is some billionaire who decides a football team is more important than filling an art museum or financing a political candidate and the sky is the limit.

Phil Knight on steroids. Imagine Elon Musk wants Penn to be Champs. 50 million is nothing.

The potential is unlike anything in professional sports.

I may have lived too long...

Here’s what’s going to happen with their program…

They’re going to lose this weekend, they’re going to land a few kids in the portal as well as recruiting wise, the NCAA is going to give them 2-3 years bowl ban, and some will stay and some won’t.

However, it won’t be enough to avoid major issues when they start a true freshman. If they’re really going to start paying that kind of money for kids then they have to play them. The problem is you need kids to block for the QB, running backs to run and skill out wide to take the top off. I’m sorry but no WR is going to play in this system so the kid is going to have no one to throw to.

So after getting the ever loving shit kicked out of him and likely ending the year on the injury list he’ll realize the mistake he made. Will he have the balls to transfer to actually get coaching and to play with skill or is he going to stick it out for that 12 million?

All I know is first round QBs get guaranteed 25+ million over 4-5 years so the kid will eventually have to decide to either bet on himself by transferring to get real coaching or take 12 million which is obviously plenty enough to retire on if you’re not stupid with the money.

Either way it ends with TCUN paying 12 million for a kid who’s not even close to enough to bring them to relevance.
