Ooooooo! They big mad! They're blaming Moore, Manuel, Hairball, the waterboy............
Check out this article from Detroit Free Press: Michigan football losing ace recruiter, DB coach Steve Clinkscale to Chargers...

Sam Webb and the rest of our "insiders" are truly the worst in the business. It's embarrassing how bad every one of them is. I don't know how people pay actual money for their garbage.
Because Clink changed his mind after they hired Wink, you disparage insiders. Blame the fickleness of the men making the decisions. It gets tiresome when the first response is to blame the reporters for “being wrong” when coaches…change their minds, or even lie to reporters before they sign their MOU/new contract.
Maybe this last departure is a further indication that those leaving don't have that much conficence in Sherrone Moore and the future at Michigan, moving forward. It seems like the possibility of a wholesale departure of most of the staff would have been checked out by the AD (and Sherrone) prior to Moore's promotion.
Gee, I wonder what else the wholesale departure could be indicative of?
It shows that Sherrone did not prioritize retaining Jim's staff. If that's what he truly valued, Clink and Elston would be co-DCs. Their departures were easy to predict. Obviously, he values having an experienced DC more.
It's not the direction I was hoping Moore would choose, but I hope he is vindicated.
Nope, that’s not it.
Maybe they are good position coaches, but not ready or capable of being a good DC.
We pretty much kept every offensive coach and lost every defensive coach.
Not really even getting close. Also, shoutout to Hart for reportedly being halfway out the door.
I think it's just a perfect storm of timing and opportunity. Nobody who's been in college football for awhile will pass up an opportunity to move up to the NFL. And if you were a part of a national championship winning staff, there's only one way to go.
They are really bad at this. The collective cognitive dissonance with their unprecedented cheating scandal is remarkable.
Theres nothing untrue in there, but a college coach taking a head job and filling out his staff with his college assistants seems like an odd choice.
Afaik, nobody else in the NFL was lining up to hire any of these people other than Minter.
They’re getting closer to uncovering the mystery of why this is happening.
It's a debacle of fucking epic proportions. How this isn't sorted out weeks ago before Sherrone is even named coach is just beyond me. How are the people in charge of a $130M/year business so incompetent?
This is gonna be a rough transition
Not too optimistic about the sherrone era if the only staff left for the transition is Campbell, Newsom and a dietician
And they deserve every second of it.
Hopefully, the reports are true that players were part of the wink hire, and approved of him.
This one is funny going back to the first quote about their insiders being worthless.
Losing Clink hurts a lot. One of the Best recruiter we had on roster. Now we better hope Wink brings in people who can recruit and not a bunch of guys who are good at the X and Os but can't recruit worth shit. Then we could be in trouble.
The hope that the guy who has been in the NFL since 2004 has a large network of expert recruiters seems like a reasonable one.
Again, I don’t see how anybody is defending Harbaugh for absolutely gutting the program at this point.
Only reasons the DC is here is a lack of options.
What in the fuck does that have to do with Jim Harbaugh, who professes to "love" UofM, absolutely destroying any chance of maintaining continuity? Nothing, that's what.
Stop making excuses, that's all it is.
Harbaugh is fucking us, period.
Hey, the reality based pessimism is funny, too.
Our head coach was just working at CMU a few years ago. Good coaches are out there. Don't panic.
It feels like this reasoning is missing a massive proof point that’s a fairly important part of being confident in your head coach.
Harbaugh offered a lot of his staff to join him. Michigan is too cheap to compete for any of them. Why be mad at Harbaugh and not Michigan?
Really, Michigan is
making Harbaugh do this to them, if you think about it.
Then it's clearly a desire to coach in the NFL along side Harbaugh thing...can't blame anyone.
Yes, bringing in almost your entire college staff to the NFL is definitely an indication that the demand to work with you is through the roof.
You summed up everything with 2 words.
1 - They were Harbaugh's staff, not Michigan's
2 - Compete, I think that once the dust settles Harbaugh will be the gift that keeps giving except when it comes to competition. His default mode is to compete. I'm not sure his mother would be safe.
Moore has to build his staff. On the plus side, he doesn't have to sell his staff by showing them the nail that Yost hung his jacket on.
One of the best universities in the world
One of the best cities in the US
World Class facilities
Coming off a Natiional Championship win
If Michigan can't attract coaches the problem has nothing to do with J. J. Harbaugh.
Really, Harbaugh gave them a gift wrapped in a lesson, if they are brave enough to accept it. And there is absolutely zero reason that makes Ann Arbor an unattractive destination right now that is definitely not related to anything Harbaugh did.
That’s not even halfway through the thread, but I’m done for now.
