I think this is not only a reckoning, but also a off hand attempt to hold on to any legitimacy that last years natty had for Scum. Has to be the poor coaching this season, and not another noted reason.
They've moved the goal posts so many times already on what the reason for them being so bad is its hard to keep up with. OF COURSE none of them involve the obvious though, lol.
The progression from the preseason "not gonna be much of a drop off at all!" sunshine pumping to what we have now is comical.
The Jadyn Davis shit is hilarious. Did his PARENTS really demand he sits for a year? Who the fuck does that in college football year 2024? Why would anyone want a QB (or any player period) who refuses to play?

The new comedy is the "this isn't Michigan football!" shit. It's VERY MUCH the same fucking offense and defense identity and scheme, the EXACT SAME "Michigan Football!" they were trotting out under Harbaugh, they of course are never going to admit the real reason it isn't effective at all anymore though.

Refusing to play shows a weakness IMO. But you might be right, with the slide he already took his senior year in the recruiting ranks, if he's planning on bailing on scUM after this season he definitely doesn't want to go in and damage his transfer portal stock.

Ehhhh, they were perfectly set up to beat USC. Decent defense and enough offense to just beat on a terrible defense. I was sure they weren't going to be as good as last year, but I didn't think they'd fall this far because most of the BIG just isn't that good.
