*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

THOUGHT OF THE DAY. "What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!" Sir Walter Scott said those words in 1808. Jim Harbaugh quoted them in 2015. Now, the Michigan football program will soon receive penalties for its deception — Connor Stalions' sign-stealing operation, which helped the Wolverines collect a 40-3 record, three Big Ten championships, three College Football Playoff appearances and one national title over the past three seasons.

Over the weekend, Dan Murphy and Pete Thamel obtained the NCAA's notice of allegation draft for Michigan. The document states seven Wolverine coaches committed NCAA rules violations in recent years. Here are those coach's sins:

Sherrone Moore deleted 52 text messages between him and Stalions on the same day media reports revealed Stalions' sign-stealing operation. For his actions, he could face a show-cause penalty and suspension.

Jim Harbaugh did not cooperate with the NCAA's probe because he denied the enforcement staff's requests to view relevant messages and phone records from his cell phone. Harbaugh also failed to look for "red flags" associated with Stalions, as he had multiple interns and one full-time staffer participate in his scheme. Harbaugh could face a show-cause penalty should he return to college football in the future.

They expect one of us in the wreckage , brother.

Just sayin': No, I expect both of them in the wreckage along with everyone else (including Ono and Manuel)......

I think it could be quite likely the texts weren't violations. They do, however, fly in the face of their whole "who is Conor Stallions" line of defense, though -- which is what I think their early "circle the wagons" responses were supposed to be.

ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN: President Ono announced that Michigan Football was DOA at University Hospital. NOA was cited as the cause. The entire program: old trophies and headlines, head coach, coordinators, and staff will be stuffed into a large wooden box, placed on a barge and towed out to the middle of Lake Superior where it will be set afire. Bells at Burton Memorial Tower will begin a mourning chime at noon and are expected to continue ringing until all hope for a return of Football is extinguished. The university requested that no flowers be sent. Donations to the Find Jim Harbaugh and Drag His Ass Back to Ann Arbor Fund are appreciated.

Disband the athletic department, raze the stadium, plow and salt the field.

Disband the athletic department, raze the stadium, plow and salt the field.

No.
Take the all-time wins lead from them and the head-to-head record from them.
THEN disband the athletic department and all the things.
But make them keep 15 players on football scholarship, and make them play a 12-game schedule every year.
I want Ohio State walk-ons throwing triple-reverse bombs for touchdowns in the fourth quarter against them to break Georgia Tech's record of 222 points in a game.
