Shawn Springs may well be the greatest college DB I've ever had the pleasure of watching play. Absolute stud that took away half the field the day he stepped on campus. If that traitorous bastard Chuckie Dubs had come to OSU.... Dear God. And that's not taking anything away from Ty Howard. Dude was the only option for opposing offenses and he was lock down too.

Captain

Cornelius "Neal" Colzie (No one ever called him Cornelius)

He played Left Halfback on some of Ohio State's best defenses, a position we would call Cornerback today. He was also a dynamic punt returner both at Ohio State and in the NFL. He holds the Ohio State record for the longest punt return in a bowl game, a 56 yarder to the USC 9-yard-line in the 1974 Rose Bowl. It set up the go-ahead score, beginning a 22-0 run to close out the game 42-21. He once turned down a movie role because it would have required him to wear a Steelers uniform. He died in August of 2001 at the age of 48. Rest In Peace.
