2024-2025 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Allowing that I didn't watch the second half, I'll be the debbie downer and say I'm not buying yet. It's one game against a team without one of it's best scorers where they shot 50% from 3, committed 15 turnovers, had a long stretch in the first half of not scoring, and only forced 9 turnovers. That sounds an awful lot like any number of Holtman's teams in November. I'll think about starting to buy at the end of the year if they keep it up.

Think we will get a good idea in January. Can they avoid the annual January meltdown we’ve seen the last couple of years?

I missed this game thinking it was tonight and already have most of the spoilers. I have it on record and will watch, but I am amped that Mobley seems like a shooter because we added size. I am all about it if that is the makeup of the team. Can't really weigh in more before I actually watch the game though. But was this an exhibition match? Honest question being out of the loop.

Hoping that utilizing our depth and running a 10-man rotation will keep everyone fresher. Was nice to see Parks out there too. Give these guys consistent minutes and mix up rotations during the easier matchups.

I get being hesitant to 'buy-in' but it's evident the culture is already completely different, from alumni to fans to the players. Seeing a guy like Devin buy into his 6th man role is huge and I'm not 100% sure that'd be the case with the prior regime.

First win for OSU against a ranked team to open the season? I heard they said something the last time they played a ranked team in the opener was vs Oklahoma in Hawaii in 1988.
Yep! From the OSU game recap on ohiostatebuckeyes.com :
"This was just the third time in 126 seasons that Ohio State has opened the season against a ranked team and the first time they came away with a victory."
