McNeese St is looking quick and aggressive. Good traits to have as the underdog. They're beating Clemson to the ball. If they keep that up 40 minutes, this could easily be an upset.

On the flipside, you've got to say this is a nightmarish start for Clemson. 3 made field goals the first 12+ minutes of the game, and only 8 points.

What's wrong with the ACC this year? Only 4 teams in the tournament, which is historically low, especially for a conference with so many teams. Louisville was 18-2 in ACC play and only got a #8 seed (and was promptly routed by Creighton). Clemson was also 18-2 in the ACC, and looking like zombies vs McNeese.

Wake Forest was only #72 in KenPom in spite of being 13-7 in the ACC (21-11 overall). SMU was also 13-7 in league play & missed the Big Dance.

I'm not sure I've seen an 18-2 power conference team have as poor a first half in an opening game of the NCAA tourney as Clemson is. I realize they weren't prepared for McNeese St running a zone defense against them, but that doesn't excuse you from getting outworked.
