Meh. I was born in ‘71 and have been told by people that the world was going to hell in a handbag as long as I recall.

I made my peace a long time ago that it’s always changing and good or bad was subjective and up to me.

I am a stones throw of your age, born in 73. I think social media has fucked everything up. This feels different. Everything is heightened to build anxiety, and people seem more divided. People seem more manipulated. I think even the rivalry smack talk is nuttier than I can remember.

However, in the end, the pulse of the people keeps things in check even if it's based on regional lines.

Yep totally agreed, they are truly the DFBIA.. but I also wouldn't recommend any OSU fan go to the Big House this weekend for their own safety, because of my earlier point. OSU fans should stay away. Lol. Too many tickers there right now. Their own administration, and press are responsible for that.

Yea a lot of this doesn't feel like a "free market".

I cant think of many spaces that are a free market, though. It's probably as much of a paper dream as the communist utopia.

The second players have a large bank account, they use it to influence regulations to cut others out. And that is exactly what we see in sports media.
