In reality, Tress didn't just lie to the school, he also lied to the NCAA when he signed the compliance paperwork before the 2010 season that stated that he he had no knowledge of any possible violations when in fact he did. THAT'S what got OSU sanctioned.Just sayin': A few years ago scUM was on the verge of firing him, and no NFL team wanted him. I'll give you (5 years x $7.3M =) 36,000,000 reasons why Harbaugh did it and is guilty.
Jim Tressel was fired from Ohio State for lying to the school about not knowing about TattooGate, etc. I will be interested to see if the scUM administration has the same amount of integrity.
Wonder what Matt Weiss has to say aboot all of this...
Both OC Matt Wiess and DC Jesse Minter have to know the "sign stealing operation" is going on; and unless Harbaugh is a total idiot he knows too. Now Harbaugh might not have any direct involvement in the "in person advance scouting"; but he would have to be an imbecile to not suspect something illegal is going on. The NCAA has to have something on them, I just hope it is proverbial "smoking gun"......
Yeah, claiming ignorance here just doesn’t work.Yea there’s no way something like this is going on without the head coaching knowing about it.
Per usual, the DFBIA is missing the point. It's not that they were stealing signs, it's the manner in which they went about it. Every team tries to figure out opposing signs, not everyone has a "vast network" dedicated to it.
Yeah, claiming ignorance here just doesn’t work.
1) Staffers were sent spying
2) The information gathered was put into the gameplan
3) The information gathered was used on the field to give them a competitive advantage
It’s literally impossible that Harbaugh didn’t know. Claiming otherwise doesn’t help his cause; it just proves he’s either a liar or has a “lack of control” (or both).
Simple Jim realized he wasn't just going to waltz back into the NFL and decided he needed an edge to actually win and keep his job. This ain't rocket surgery.I’m going to assume that after the disaster COVID year someone else came up with the idea but Harbaugh signed off on it. That person might not be on the staff anymore but they kept carrying it on. Desperation to finally be nationally competitive.
I'll take a diff spin... to not tip off the other team in 1st half so they can make adjustments...Why would the stealing of signals only impact the 2nd half of games? just curious
