Yes.

I hated hearing “I want them to be good”.

Not me. Give me 2009 or 2015 dominance vs them over them being ranked etc.

I have never wanted them to have anything nice or good.

But if you think about it... if they already had the executive group meeting or whatever, the thing that's really fucking Michigan that probably isn't baked into those guidelines is the ubiquity of the post covid remote meeting.. and this is one of those things that hits harder on Zoom.

You talkin' to me?

While I agree with much of what you say here, I will still root for them when they play Notre Dame or USC. I will root for them if it makes a difference between Ped State (or any other team) or the Bucks going to the CFP. I will always maintain that the difference between The Game, and the other "The Game(s)" i.e. Okie - Okie State, USC - UCLA, Texass - Aggie, Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee - KY Jelly, is the quality of the rivalry - it's deep, it's personal, and it's amazingly even. Few rivalry games match anything near those qualities.

While I'd love to see the sumbitches put on probation NOW, I know I would miss The Game.

Rick Neuheisel was just on Dan Patrick. Told a couple of stories about when he was at UCLA and Harbaugh was at Stanford. First on was when Pete Carroll at USC had a large enough budget to have PAC10 officials at practice every day. Harbaugh and Stanford only had enough of a budget to have them a few times. Harbaugh went to the league coaches meetings, and demanded some rules to be changed because it gave USC an unfair advantage due to all of the relationships that Carroll will build with the officials. Harbaugh ranted for a while and eventually Carroll raised his hand and said "We were the most penalized team in the conference......" He said the room burst out in laughter, after which Harbaugh responded with an angry "It's the principal of it!!"

The other one was when Harbaugh called him accusing him of cheating about calling a recruit who was committed to Stanford as a walkon. The recruit called Neuheisel at UCLA inquiring about a scholarship. Harbaugh called Neuheisel furious and accused him of cheating. Neuheisel had to explain to him that the recruit had called him and not the other way around.
