I can live with them losing to both the Pedsters and tOSU, not getting a win in a bowl game (for whatever reason), ending the season at 999, and then having the NCAA put them back into the 960s some time between January and August, 2024.

So close, and yet so far.
Agreed.
I remember thinking it was cool when Tressel got to 100 wins at Ohio State. He ended up with 105, I believe. Maybe 106. Then 2010 was vacated and it went back to about 93 or 94. But Tressel still got 100 wins, in my book.
I'd rather have M*ch*gan never get to celebrate that 1,000th win, compared to celebrating it and having it taken away.

The arguments about sign stealing are getting off point, imho. The violations scUM is accused of are:

1. In person scouting of opponents
2. Recording opponents

Sign stealing is what they did with the information they gathered in person and recording, but sign stealing isn't the violation.

Last I heard, BIG teams had about 33 confirmed cases of Stalions purchasing tickets to opponents games and someone showing up and recording, sometimes two people at a game, one recording each sideline. So let's say about 40 violations of each #1 and #2 above. That's a lot of violations. That's the argument we should be sticking with, imho.
Folks on both sides have been conflating "sign stealing" and "in person scouting with recording" since this started, l;eading to endless confusing and meaningless arguments.

Can you imagine how DFBIA would be acting if scUM were having a Sandusky type scandal? With how they are dealing with this I have no doubt they'd leave the Ped State Cult in the dust as cultiest B1G fan base.
Good call. Penn State is famous for their quotes, like, "No way did Sandusky rape anyone - did you see his nose?" and "Paterno was right to just go tell his boss about the issues." But, transfer M*ch*gan to that spot, and we'd be hearing that molesting a child isn't illegal, and, since Ryan Day has been snitching, he must have a dozen kids tied up in his basement.
I've enjoyed watching the cults be cults. But I think they've lost out on that status.

If I understand UM logic, they want to destroy the B1G by leaving.

Therefore UM > (USC+UCLA+Oregon+Washington).

Instead of 5 top 10 teams we will be down to 4.

I shudder.
I think their point is that the TV networks would miss out on being able to show M*ch*gan games. But, even they admit that they aren't #1 in the Big Ten.

Not quite. They used Pandas in scouting and recording opponents.
