Only problem with the article is trying to compare Tennessee and Michigan’s investigations.

That was for paying players which is now legal. This involves fixing games (competitive advantage) I think it’s far more serious than Tennessees situation

Yep exactly comparing this to your past standard “improper benefits” cases is incredibly stupid. This is drifting along the same sort of lines as point shaving.

Holy fuck balls. If SAS and Pauuuuuuuul are coming hard like this, there’s someone out there in a high enough place that either:
1) KNOWs something is going to happen… either more / major to the story coming out or that the B1G is going to nut up and follow Jax’s lead

-or-

2) Really want’s it to be difficult, in the court of public opinion, to have the B1G send tsun as a conference representative.

I’m here for either. But as someone else said (will credit if I see it again) earlier, the national media has started to go on the attack of tsun today. The tone and volume is significantly different. It certainly feels like something is coming.

The pessimist in me says its 3. It damages the B1G, and therefore makes their investment in the SEC/ACC more valuable. It’s just a variation of the normal ‘Should 5 SEC teams make the 4 team playoffs this year?’ headlines

That’s why I prefer Big Noon Kickoff and Fox so the propaganda I hear lines up with what I want to hear.

Ok, I broke down and subscribed to The Athletic for a couple of months since they are leading the way in coverage of this.

Whoever took the Athletic survey results and put the above together is wrong.

First, only 13 of the 50 respondents were head coaches. The rest were assistants and staffers.

Second, the number of respondents who think it is worth 10+ points or more is 38%, not 92%. Although 78% thought it was worth at least a FG.

The rest is pretty accurate.
