2023 NCAA Tournament and Bracket Discussion

Nah, not even close. The Aztecs are shooting 34%. Butler shot 18% in the 2011 title game. Who beat them? UConn.
I just want to know what kinda voodoo we need to do to get that kinda tournament luck. Everytime we run out of gas in the tournament it seems us going cold while we rarely get the other way around even under Matta who's calling card for ages was D

I keep thinking if Hurley kept the starters on during that stretch, UConn could've pulled away by maybe 20.

He took the starters out and SDSU cut it to 8-9.

He got them some rest, then brought them back fresh to finish it off. Seems to have worked out for him.

When Matta lost his only title game Florida scored 84 points. Managed to win a sweet 16 game on that run 85-84, but that's a tough recipe.

The most important thing to remember from this tournament is that Purdue lost to a 16 seed, the shortest team in the country and maybe one of the worst tournament teams ever.

FDU only got in the tournament because the regular season, and tournament, champion was ineligible. Good job, Painter.
