The 9th place team in the B1G rolled the 2nd place team from the SEC last night. This is more about Purdue.

Painter still builds teams like his mentor, Gene Keady. The problem is it's not 1988 anymore. Having a back to the basket center, with no range, and average guards is not how the game is played now. By the time they get to this tournament there's a ton of video for opponents. They just collapse on the big man and dare you to beat them from three. Saint Peter's did the same thing to them last year. If the open threes they're giving Purdue don't fall, they lose.

PU shot 23% from three vs Saint Peter's, and 19% from three vs FDU. We know how both games ended.
