A couple of tourney winners because simple plays weren’t made. If Zach Edey tossed a pass just about anywhere within half of the front court, instead of behind Bradon Smith on the sideline, Purdue would have been up 5 in regulation with about 20 seconds left. Plus Painter wasted his last timeout in OT so they couldn’t throw the ball to midcourt and call a TO to set up a decent play when Wiscy scored with 4.8 seconds left.

If Virginia would have fouled NC State in the last 4 seconds of regulation, instead of letting them try a game-tying 3, the Woffpack would be considering the NIT right now.

Or, if Virginia's 87% free throw shooter makes a free throw to ice the game by giving them a 4 point lead, that last bullshit prayer of a shot by NC State is moot.

Seems like there has been a crazy amount of upsets in these small conference/mid major tournaments this year. That's definitely watered the level of play down even more. The American title game coming up is another one, featuring 16-19 Temple. A team that won 5 conference games during the regular season.
