Can’t advance the ball on a timeout in men’s hoops. Only women’s and NBA.
But they could have tried something. Their coach Kenny Payne is clueless though.
He even admitted after the loss to IU that he felt “tricked” by IU running a zone. Yes, seriously.

Marquette looks like an early juggernaut. They have some dudes. And Kolek makes them hum…like a little Steve Nash with his dribbling and passing.

Went 4-28 last year and was an assistant for the Knicks for 2 years before that.
Pretty much says it all.

Marquette looks good, although Kansas being ranked #1 is Kansas-ing as usual (besides their once in every 12-15 year run).

Some early day basketball. UNC in a tussle at the half trailing Northern Iowa 41-35
Northern Iowa is 1-2 with losses to North Texas and South Florida

And then Northern Iowa scored 6 points in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half and is now getting rolled

Long Beach State followed up their 94-86 win in Ann Arbor by losing 61-52 to Illinois State.
Now they are getting whipped by the good ole Louisiana Ragin Cajuns
that's gonna end up a loss that could keep scUM out of the tourney if they are close to the bubble at the end of the year
