Next year's team holds the potential this year's team held-actually/likely slightly better.

This year's two Alabama vs Georgia contests demonstrates the variability within this game.

Michigan is very close-we need the variability to fall in our favor.

So they lose their flash in the pan pass rushers that carried the team, along with their 2 defensive "leader" types, best DB and LBer

Yet they are going to be "slightly better" next year

The "we just reload" narrative is laughable but all too predictable given the source.

With their usual off season echo chamber and Charmin soft September schedule, they'll be the greatest team of all time by the time October rolls around.

I like how they think variability in multiple matchups means they’re going to compete with Georgia next year and not that they’ll lose their close games again and fall back to 9-3.

This anomaly of a season was the greatest gift we could have asked for. A lot of the delusion amongst the dfbia had been sapped by a run of underachieving seasons. One good year that included several close wins over teams an elite team should destroy and a thumping in their Bowl game and the stupidity/arrogance is cranked back up to 11. It's a beautiful thing.
